Puppies!!!

Everyday on my walk I have this internal battle with myself: do I go past the killer dog who is my mortal enemy or do I skip around him? Well these days I've been braving it and passing scary dog because in the yard next to scary dog there are 8 puppies!!! Cute little tiny newborn puppies!!! I'm begging René to get one:) They are being sold for $55 Namibs, which is less than $8!!!! They are black and most of them have a little brown face or brown under their chins. We think the parents are the other two dogs in the yard, but it's hard to tell. Yesterday I googled "importing dog into U.S.A." It turns out that puppies can not be vaccinated for rabies until they are 3 months old and U.S. customs will not allow dogs with out rabies vaccines into the country. (Well you have to pay for your dog to be quarantined until they can be vaccinated and then for 30 days after the vaccination.) So I guess we are not getting a clearance puppy! (It's probably better this way because there is always the chance that the father of these pups is scary dog. Wouldn't that be ironic? Our first dog is the offspring of Kujo. Ha.) It's also better this way because I'm sure my parents would not be too thrilled with the idea of a puppy in their house when we get back to Wisconsin! And I don't think my dad's best friend (Willy the dog) would enjoy not being the center of attention anymore.
