Namib-Nakluft National Park aka the desert

We did a drive into Namib-Nakluft Park which, as I mentioned before, is a park that includes the Namib desert and the Nakluft mountain range. The Namib desert just happens to be the world's oldest desert. Don't ask me how they determine that or who determined that! The park was crazy because of the changing landscape. One minute we would be driving and it would be green and flat the next minute we'd see a huge pile of rocks that we had to get out and climb! That just so happens to be what we are doing in the above picture. It was probably 2 pm and it was so hot. (I was about to swoon!)
More rock climbing.
This is on top of a huge rock over-looking the desert.
This is what a lot of the driving looked like in those parts. You can just see the Nakluft Mountain range in the distance.
Another strange landscape. Very rocky with rolling hills in the background.
