From Swakop we drove up the Skeleton Coast (through Skeleton Coast National Park) to Palmwag. This was seriously a “Where are we” kind of moment!!!!! We saw a total of 10-12 other cars on this entire 362 km (226 mile) drive. The West Coast of Namibia is called the Skeleton Coast because of all the shipwrecks that happen here. The coast can get really foggy, that plus the
Benguela Current add up to cause many shipwrecks over the years. Also, as you can see in these next few pictures, the landscape was surreal.
