Tonight we went out to dinner at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Center. Before dinner there was a art opening for a local artist, which was pretty neat. René and I ended up talking to him for a while about his opinion that women wear too much make-up these days. Ha, ha. Anyway, the dinner was great and our waiter was very friendly. We tried a springbok dish that was really tasty. I also had moussaka, which is kind of funny. A Greek dish at a French restaurant in Namibia.
The weather has been pretty perfect. This morning I sat outside with my Kindle, in the shade, for an hour or so. It was 81 (F) and beautiful! But then, while René and I were having lunch on our porch it started to rain. It is definitely the rainy season here! And we hear that Namibia is getting an abnormal amount of rain this year. When the rain comes in it really cools down and it usually rains buckets for quite a while. I'll post a pic of the crazy, heavy rain that came last night.
Nice pics! The camera seems to be performing well. Thanks for the updates... it's fun to follow along. xoxo Meg
